If you are aged 18 or over, you can visit the GGD without an appointment for your first or second vaccination or to get your booster jab. Children aged 5 to 11 can also get a coronavirus vaccination. More information is available here.

Are you uncertain about getting the coronavirus vaccination? If so, you can do various things.

• Ask the advice of someone who knows a lot about coronavirus and the vaccine: your GP or specialist.

If you are aged 18 or over, you don’t need to make an appointment with the GGD to get the coronavirus vaccination. You do for the repeat vaccination. If you are aged 12 or over, you don’t need to make an appointment for the 1st and 2nd vaccination. Want to make an appointment anyway? You can do so on the phone or online.

You decide whether you want to be vaccinated or not. The vaccination is free.

The vaccination helps prevent serious illness if you contract coronavirus. And the more people who are vaccinated, the harder it will be for coronavirus to spread.
